We have recessed lights - original from when the house was built in 1985.
Several of them keep falling down. There is a fixed housing that is attached to the joist, but the "inside" part falls out. The inside part is not the trim - it is the reflector and socket connected to the BX cable. That is the part that falls out, and dangles by the BX.
